James came to me as a top sales leader in his mid 20s after being in a drunken argument… 

He had been feeling overworked and stressed out from everything he had going on. It was slowly building up and up and up – accumulating tension. Until one night he was out at the bar and got into an argument with his girlfriend. He shoved her.

He knew he needed to change.

It so happened that I did a training for his company a few days after this. He was going to meet with a therapist and after attending my event he wanted to try coaching.

I said “James, I’ll be better than your therapist. And cheaper. But I want you meet with him to make sure you get all the support you need.”

James met with both of us. And the next time I saw him, he said I was right.

Everyone’s heard about executive coaching: work-life and performance coaching for top leaders. But what about future executives? 

There’s huge gap in the market in for folks who aren’t yet executives: early career high performers who want to excel in professional and personal life or leaders at small- to mid-market companies.

Habits-based Approach – How do I go from knowing to doing? Habits are the missing link. Our work together will be grounded in what I call habit engineering: using behavioral psychology to change what you do every day.

Zen Mind Training – How do I navigate my mind? I lived for four months as a Zen monk studying under several leading Western teachers. I have spent about 2,000-3,000 hours on meditation and contemplative practice since 2017. We’ll use the principles and techniques of mind training discovered by monks and backed by modern neuroscience.

Positive Psychology – How do I flourish? I taught the first every Happiness course at the University of Alabama where I taught how to apply positive psychology to your personal life. Positive psychology goes beyond happiness. It is the science of human flourishing. We’ll go beyond happiness to be more energized, engaged, and effective.
