About Jackson Kerchis

Jackson graduated from the University of Alabama where studied Economics and created the world’s first Happiness Studies major. His studies include research from positive psychology, neuroscience, economics, literature, religious studies, and more. The purpose of the major is to understand how we can live happier lives. Jackson is a member of the International Positive Psychology Association and the Institute of Noetic Sciences. He also holds a certificate in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.

He has experience as an engagement manager with a nonprofit management consulting firm: The Audience, Inc. He has experience in wealth management with Edward Jones LP. He has experience as a summer analyst with PwC’s technology consulting practice. He is the CEO of StudentFi: a fintech startup a free platform that helps you navigate the process of paying for higher education.

Jackson was born San Jose, Costa Rica and is a proud dual citizen of Costa Rica and the U.S.A. He was raised in “the best town in the greatest state in the union” – Slippery Rock, PA. His interests include, but are not limited to, yoga, sunsets, heights, dreams, mixed martial arts, fantasy football, reading, and the outdoors.
